Noah Cleveland
Lead Singer////Guitar////Piano
Noah Cleveland is a singer/songwriter with a very powerful message that cuts through the soul to impact everyone who listens. Noah brings a very rich and smooth sound to the table in christian music. He is very passionate about what he does and everyone that has heard the music recognizes the passion right away. If you like the sounds of Chris Daughtry from American Idol, Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish, Lifehouse, or The Goo Goo Dolls, you will love Noah right away. His early rock influences like Matchbox 20, Creed, Nickelback, and even Howie Day shine through in his music.
When Cleveland began singing and writing songs, everyone that heard his music knew there was something special about him. The way that he could awe the listeners was remarkable and continues to do the same today. He describes what he does as a very simple answer: "the anointing from God." The vision that Noah has is to lead people into the presence of God. He wants to see all generations “touch and experience God." Enjoying music and becoming emotional when hearing a song is one thing, but seeing people change because of an experience of God is a focal point of this ministry. It’s great to hear that people enjoy the album, but they want to see change in the listeners.
In 2008, he released the debut album titled "Be Loud." The project offered songs from life experience and drive to accept God's call. The album was written over the course of three years and relates to people right where they are. Noah went to The Georgia School Of Leadership and Ministry where he led the traveling band for 3 years. The band traveled all over the Untied States and to three different countries. Many songs from the Be Loud record were written during his time at the school. Each week, the school held a chapel service where Noah began to introduce some of these songs or the first time. When he saw that people were really being impacted by them, he then started the recording process of making his first record.
"Be Loud" is also the first track on the 2008 release, and was written from Acts 3. The song describes the biblical story of someone crying out for help because misfortune, and it's up to us to reach out and be loud with our faith to help them. "We have a choice to help or turn and walk away" states Cleveland. Know God and make God known is a statement you will probably hear if you see Noah live. He believes that we are all called to make Him known. Some of us may play music, some may preach, some may start churches, but some may be business men or work at a hospital. No matter what you do in your life, he believes we are called to make God known.
"Until Only You Remain" was the first song to put Noah on the map. "Strip away the glory for my name, until only you remain". Those are the closing words in the chorus of this rock ballad. The song was written in his junior year at college, and quickly became a favorite to all who heard it. In 2009, Noah entered the song in Embassy Music's Ultimate Talent Search, and won the grand prize. The competition featured 24 semifinalists from all over the U.S. who competed during Gospel Music Awards week in Nashville, TN. After the list was trimmed to just 7 finalists, Noah won 1st place. Kene Ghost is a Dove Award winning producer was part of the judge panel that night, stated that Noah and the song has the "X" factor and what it takes to storm the christian music industry immediately. Since then, Until Only You Remain has been redone and is being pushed to radio all over the country and will be featured in an upcoming movie called "The Finisher."
Noah has shared the stage with artists like David Crowder, Sanctus Real, John Waller, Warren Barfield, Todd Agnew, Barlow Girl, Steve Fee, and Chris Sligh from American Idol. Noah also played at the largest single day christian music festival in the southeast called EN FUEGO. He has also ministered with Bluetree who wrote the song “God of this City” and Laura Story who wrote the song “Indescribable." He has also played at The Potter’s House, which is led by Bishop T.D. Jakes and World Changers International, which is led by Creflo Dollar. Since the release of the first record, Cleveland has ministered through concerts, conferences, camps, and retreats in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Mississippi, Louisiana, Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, New York, Arkansas, Texas, and did two different tours in Canada.
In September, Noah will release the long awaited "Come Alive EP." The music has evolved as Noah grew as an artist, but the sound is as fresh as ever. This cd still creates a smooth rock vibe, and will feature 5 songs including the new radio version of Until Only You Remain. The record will also feature the new single Come Alive, a song written from Ezekiel 37. Noah believes that we all have power to speak things, to prophesy. In the story from Ezekiel, God takes him to a place of dry bones, a place where there is no life. God tells Ezekiel to speak life, to prophesy to the dead and dry bones to come alive. This story comes to life in a magnificent way in the new song. Speaking life and God's word through music is something Noah feels he is called to do. The new EP (Exclusive Preview) also introduces a song called "The Journey" that was co-written with national recording artist John Waller. Waller had songs hit national radio like "The Blessing" and "While I'm Waiting" which also was a huge song in the hit movie "Fireproof." John has been a mentor to Noah and they have done multiple concerts together. The last song on the new cd, is called "Second Chance." This song too will be featured in the upcoming movie called "The Finisher." Noah wrote the song for an organization called Teen Challenge, which brings in troubled teens who have had problems with many addictions, and ministers to them through the gospel. You can find the new Come Alive EP on iTunes, Amazon mp3, Napster, as well as any other digital download store on July 8. Noah is releasing the EP in September of 2011, but is expected to release the full project in 2012.
Noah married his high school sweetheart Ivy on June 7, 2008. The two dated for almost 6 years before getting married, dating all the way back to middle school. They have a jack russell that was recently added to the Cleveland family.
