Bass Guitar////Background Vocals
Adam is what many would call the "class clown" of the group. On stage he may seem serious, but when you get to know him, you will see his "wild" side come out. He has been playing bass guitar for many years in different bands such as Wisdom, Jubal's Kin, and Epic Worship. Adam starting playing with Noah Cleveland in the fall of 2008, right after the release of the first record. Adam brings many things to the table, including experience, wisdom, and personality. Adam loves music and is fulfilling his dream of playing in a band.
Duncan was born in Smyrna, GA on March 20, 1973, but raised in Conyers, GA. He attended Heritage High School but graduated from Griffin High in 1991. In 2011, Duncan graduated from Southern Crescent Tech with an AA in Accounting. He spent many of his childhood years trying to "fit in", seeking who he was supposed to be. He turned to stealing cars and basically anything else he could find to fit in with friends. The wrong crowd began to take it's toll on Adam. Shortly after, he started cutting himself on the wrists, screaming out for attention, hoping someone would hear his cry. His parents could not control him, and made the decision to send him to a military school. After being sent to military school, it only got worse. He began to try out different drugs, including LSD (acid). Through drugs and drinking, he continued to try and fill the void, get attention, and search for who he was supposed to be. "I was looking for my place in this world," stated Duncan. His roomate was a big time drug dealer, and many times bullied Adam and pressured him, which went on every day. The peer pressure really affected him for a long time. There were no good influences in his life. Going to church was something he had done a little in the past, but Duncan was never serious about it. There was no relationship with God, only a visit to church to meet people here and there.
Adam's senior year of high school -which was still at military school- was supposed to be different, or so he thought. He found a girl who he could really confide in, and was a positve influence on him. He finally had something going for him, only to receive a letter one day from her saying that she was done being with him. After overcoming some of his issues, Adam started back down the wrong path. A serious condition of depression came upon him, and he found himself trying to commit suicide. The school found out, and sent him to the hospital to treat him for the depression that could have claimed his life.
After returning to school, Adam began to sell drinks, food, and different things that he had stolen from local gas stations. Duncan sold whatever he could to make a few extra bucks. One day he was caught by a local gas station owner. He was kicked out of school immedately, only one month prior to his scheduled graduation date. Adam's family disowned him, and sent him to live with his grandmother who enrolled him in the local high school. He graduated shortly after and decided to move to college. While in college, he again began to go down the road that had haunted him for most of his life. He tested the waters in the party scene, but was soon introduced to a guy who was a christian. He and his friend hit it off right away, and Adam finally found the positive influence that would eventually lead Him Jesus Christ, and would also get him plugged into a local church.
Adam turned his life around and turned from the lifestyle that brought him so much pain for so long. He gave his heart to Jesus, and doors were immediately opened for him to get plugged in. He started filling in as a bass player in his local church, which led him to playing with different bands. Years after his life was changed, he was introduced to Noah Cleveland, and started playing full time with him shortly after.
Adam met his wife Natalie at church and now has two children, a 7 year old boy and 2 year old girl.
"I could have run from God. I’ve had plenty of opportunities to be angry with God. I just keep looking at the big picture and I know there’s a purpose. I love that God has called me to serve Him and I can’t wait to see where he’s taking me and my family. I know that through Him I’ll always rise again," said Duncan.
